Project Goal
Design a pattern of a theme of your choosing with the intention of the pattern being used on a fabric to make clothing or other various products.
Summary: I wanted to create a pattern that was rooted in Alaskan nature and a pattern that leaned toward a feminine audience. Alaskan flowers were the subject, as I felt that they fulfilled both criteria. Additionally, I also wanted the pattern to feel balanced in color. The green stems, red berries, and yellow background help offset the blue and purple petals. Finally, I wanted the pattern to elegantly flow, and to do this, I used the curvature of the fireweed and berries to create a path in the pattern.
Applied Skills: Illustration, Color Design, Asset creation, and Mock-up creation.
